SERVICE OVERVIEW:

If you've decided to transition from On-Premises Microsoft Exchange to using Exchange Online exclusively, this service is essential. Improper removal of Exchange can lead to issues in your domain's operations, and even hinder future reinstallation or integration with other services. By ensuring a seamless removal of Exchange Server, the service enhances your organization's efficiency in using Microsoft 365.

IT PARTNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Gather necessary information about your existing setup.
2. Perform a secure backup of your data.
3. Conduct a thorough and correct decommissioning of Microsoft Exchange Server, ensuring its alignment with your Microsoft 365 strategy.
4. Ensure proper coordination with other vendors if required.
5. Provide guidance and insights throughout the process.

CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate internal resources and staff schedules for a smooth transition within Microsoft 365.
2. Appoint a dedicated point of contact to work closely with IT Partner.
3. Review and timely approve engagement deliverables.
4. Manage change management tickets within your environment, if needed.
5. Provide access to relevant physical and virtual servers and networking equipment.

PREREQUISITES:

• Microsoft Exchange is correctly installed in your organization.
• Microsoft Exchange is not used for sending or receiving mail or any other purposes.

PLAN:

• The specific plan will be tailored to your organization's needs.
• The process within your Microsoft 365 environment typically involves a kickoff meeting, preparing your domain for Exchange uninstallation, data backup, Exchange uninstallation itself, verification of the process, and addressing any issues that may arise within your Microsoft 365 setup.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:

• Successful removal of the Exchange server from your organization.
• No remaining Exchange attributes or data in Active Directory.
• No disruption to user work during the decommissioning process within your Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

ADDITIONAL COSTS NOT INCLUDED:

• Any hardware or software requirements beyond the scope of the project.
• Licensing fees for external services or software.
• Training costs for your team.
• Customization or enhancements beyond the standard service.
