Query large datasets and benefit from your existing investments. The gateways provide the flexibility you need to meet individual needs, and the needs of your organization.

Deliverables

• Identify the location and type of your on-premises data sources (SQL Server, Analysis Services, Files, SharePoint, etc.).
• Identify the optimal location for your on-premises installation of the Power BI Gateway.
• Install the Power BI Gateway on-premises or provide support and guidance to your infrastructure department.
• Setup and configure the gateway in Power BI service.
• Configure the data sources in Power BI service, including configuring permissions for your Power BI service AAD user accounts.
• If required, configure Power BI service AAD user account to on-premises AD account mapping for Analysis Server data sources (or provide support to your infrastructure department to set up automatic mapping in the Gateway).
• Provide 3 months limited upgrade support for the Gateway.
