Monitoring & Evaluation for Public Sector in South Africa: Implementation

Altron M&E is a software solution built with Power Apps and the Microsoft Dataverse which enables public sector customers to implement a Monitoring & Evaluation solution as defined by the South African Governments Department of Monitoring and Evaluation and guided by the Government Wide Monitoring and Evaluation Policy Framework:

Altron went on a journey to build a platform giving government departments the capability to report on the key performance indicators. The solution comprises 5 key components:

• Inputs to capture information that will be used to track a specified intervention;
• ‘Budget’ captures the core budget components required by the objective/program and can be linked to programs and stakeholders.
• Program Design & Management refers to the organisation's focus areas. A Program is linked to a budget that allows for the management of financial aspects of the program.
• Monitoring is used to measure specific program activities and outputs on a configurable frequency (monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annually, or any combination thereof);
• Evaluation (Outcomes) qualifies and quantifies the results of your intervention(s). The Evaluation component determines whether Intervention activities are having an intended (or unintended) impact.

The solution is provided on a subscription basis and the Year 1 subscription costs include:
• Year 1 Subscription Fees
• Year 1 Solution Maintenance
• 80 hours of configuration and customisation - to meet your unique requirements - additional time is available and will be quoted separately
• 2 days of user training
