Power BI Performance: 2-Day Assessment

Power BI gives excellent self-service capability allowing users to build their own models, reports, and dashboards. As models get larger and more complex though, this can lead to slower performance than expected.

In this two-day assessment, a Thorogood consultant with deep expertise in Power BI will work with the owner of the Power BI application to understand the business objectives that the application serves. Combining this with deep experience of how data can be modeled efficiently in Power BI, we will diagnose the root cause of any performance issues and identify improvements and optimisations that can be made to drive better performance.

At the end of the two days, we will provide you with an outline of the suggested enhancements, and review the findings together to help plan the next steps for how the changes can be made.

• Application Review - We will work with the owner of the Power BI application to understand the business objectives, the data model, and the dashboards.
• Performance Analysis - We will carry out analysis of performance bottlenecks and optimisation opportunities within the application.
• Recommendation Review - We will walk you through the recommendations and help to plan next steps in carrying out performance improvements and optimisation.
