Corporate Carousel App part

THIS IS AN APP PART WHICH YOU NEED TO INSERT ON A PAGE. IT IS NOT A FULL PAGE IMMERSIVE APP.

App Overview:-

This App part enables you to display images from a picture library in SharePoint. The title and description will get displayed on the image as overlay text. The no of images in the carousel is mentioned by circles on the right side .The current image will get selected in this circle.

It can read the image library from hosweb,subsites of the host web as well as different site collection in the same web application and also inside folder.It has left and right arrows using which user can move the image manually.

Pre-requisite :-

To use this App part, the user should create a Picture Library from the OOTB picture content type. Once the Picture Library is been created, add the following columns:

1)NavigationLink - Hyperlink or Picture type.

This is used to navigate to the corresponding site on click of an image

2)ImageOrder - Number type.

This is used to display the images in a particular orderEnsure the columns Title, Description are present in this picture library.

Note: Please note the name of the picture library; this will be needed in the later point to configure the App.

How App part works? :-

1) Add the App Part to page.Create a new page, edit the page, click insert AppPart and select Corporate Carousel App Part and select ok

2)Configure the Tool Pane;

Right click the App Part and click Edit App Part.

Please provide the values in the section "Image Carousel Configuration Properties" in the tool pane.

The details of the tool pane parameters are as follows:

1) Carousel Image Library

This name should match with the picture library that's created in the "Pre Requisite section"

2) Carousel Speed (in seconds)

.Based on this value the Carousel speed will set.

3) Image Height,Default is set to 100px.According to this height the app part resizing will happen

4) Image Width,Default is set to 100px.According to this width the app part resizing will happen

5)Number of Images to Display

.This set the number of images that displayed in the carousel.

6)Site Url(Path up to Image Library), e.x., if the path to the library is "https://sitename/sites/sitename/libraryname", then the parameter value should be "https://sitename/sites/sitename" excluding quotes.
