The Tabs web part allows content owners to transform long-form paragraphs into a tabbed layout, providing clear organization and reducing the impact of lengthy paragraphs. Within each tab, content owners can access rich text editing, which includes bulleted lists, adjustable font size, and more.
This easy-to-manage web part brings organization to your text web parts. It is commonly used for step-by-step instructions or to help break down overarching topics into subtopics. The content within the tabs is searchable, so even when the content of a tab isn’t displayed upon default, users can find the information they need.
Tabs offers you the following features:
- Searchable - All content created within the Tabs web part is searchable through the SharePoint search box, even if the content is contained within a tab that isn’t open on default.
- Easy to manage - Drag and drop tabs, rename tabs, and add or delete tabs right within the editing pane. Tabs automatically adopts your organization’s SharePoint theme, using the theme’s primary color to highlight the selected tab.
- Editable - Rich text editing available within the text box of each tabs gives content owners more flexibility for presenting content, whether it is bulleted lists, bold and italicized font, or headings within the tab.
