Managing and deploying remote workstations and terminal services for even a small organization can be resource-intensive, often requiring significant configuration of multiple components. Microsoft’s Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) offers a streamlined solution by integrating these components into a cloud-based desktop and app virtualization service on Azure. Key benefits of WVD include:
- Seamless integration and management of components, provided as a service with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) from Microsoft.
- Licensing for the OS is included in most Microsoft packages, minimizing costs for additional software.
- Enables Windows 10 in terminal server format, allowing cost-effective remote sessions.
