Project Management for Business Central – Sell-to Customer

The standard jobs functionality in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central helps you to manage projects and contracts for your organization. This functionality enables users to define project structures, plan and manage tasks in projects and manage project budgets vs. actuals. This functionality works well for many companies but is not always sufficient for project-centric businesses to run their business well.

The Prodware Project Management for Business Central is made up of different apps that take the standard jobs functionality a few steps further and increases the efficiency & flexibility of managing projects and providing better insights. This results in time savings and error reduction and enhances the ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

The Sell-to customer app within the Prodware Project Management for Business Central suite allows the specification of two distinct entities: a Bill-to Customer (standard in Business Central) and an additional Sell-to Customer. The addition of the Sell-to Customer in a project makes it possible to enter to whom the project or contract is delivered (sell-to customer) and to whom the project or contract is invoiced (bill-to customer). The information included is not purely address information but may include the relation who is responsible for the project and the relation who is responsible for the payments. This allows a more correct representation of a project administration.

The Sell-to Customer app is fully integrated with the Project Template App which therefore will also be part of the installment. Upon subscription to the Project Template App it is possible to assign a Sell-to Customer when creating a Project based on a template.

In the Departments app (part of the Project Management suite), the Sell-to customer is leading for the determination of the Responsibility Centre. For more information see for the Departments app. The Departments App is not part of the installment.

The Combine Invoice app in the Project Management suite can make use of the Sell-to Customer information.

The Sell-to Customer app empowers users managing projects or contracts in the customer organization, thereby saving time and reducing errors.

Other Apps in the Project Management for Business Central suite are:
Project Template, Attributes, Invoice Template, Departments, Fixed Assets, Financial Allocations, Date Filter and Combined Invoice.
