Attachment Management for Dynamics 365 CRM Online using Azure blob storage.

Important Note : This solution will deprecate from App Source by June 2021. Recommended to move Default CDS File storage by providing Consent in Blob storage settings page for the existing Users of this solution.  Going forward there will not be any bug fix for this solution except any issues found during  CDS migration after providing consent to use Default CDS file storage. 

  • Make sure all the Storage account Name, SAS Token, Container names are filled with the details.
  • These details will use to fetch the attachments from Azure blob also used in Migration.
  • Attachment Management solution version should be greater than
  • Please make sure for Validity of the SAS token

Attachment Management solution is an add-on feature to dynamics 365 CRM Online to manage notes and email attachments using Azure blob storage. Enables business users to optimize use of CRM Online storage and retrieve files on-demand through Dynamics CRM. It also offers additional optional feature of multiple files upload and download with a preview of the attachment. This solution is built on Dynamics 365 and seamlessly works on Dynamics CRM 2016 and above.

It would be ideal to test run the solution in your pre - production environments before installing in your production environment.

Please note that this solution will not support for CRM Portals. 

Additional Information

Solution Upgrade from 1.7.X version to 1.8.X version need to do additional steps. Please refer user guide for more details.

Important Update:

In this version Customer will have a choice to move to default CDS file storage instead of Custom Blob storage. Once the Consent accepted by the Customer then all the solution related Create/Update Plug ins will be disabled and start move all the new notes/activity mime attachments to default file storage. 

Product team will start migrating the old attachments to Default File storage in back end. 

Customers shouldn't uninstall the solution till the migration complete by Product Team. This can frequently verify by raising ticket with CRM Product team. Please refer User guide for more details.
