8x8 Work for Office 365

There are many training videos on how to use this system. This is indicative of how unintuitive it is to use this system. Be sure to put an entire day aside to install this system and learn to begin using it. You may learn to use it well eventually.

My Investment Bank just got this a couple of weeks ago. I have done video calls, they are all HD, I even called my buddy up in upstate New York who was using his cell phone and he had not downloaded the 8x8 app and it worked well. The quality is better than Zoom, which I was not expecting having also taken a 1-year account before we got 8x8. From a phone point, I can call internationally no problem. It has actually allowed me to do all my office calls from home during the COVID Quarantine. Phone quality is good. It's great for internal communications and many of the older managing directors, are starting to see the value of having a slack like chat system. So instead of doing voice calls for internal deal discussions we can share files, do a video screen share, etc. To integrate you just need to download the add-on on the Microsoft store and I imagine the google store too.

Starting a meeting is not convenient and you can't access it directly from the main Outlook menu, but have to go into Calendar and start a new meeting before you can make it an 8x8 meeting. Also, there appear to be security issues as we have had an unknown caller join a voice call on one occasion and someone named Jester join in on a video teleconf that was only open to two individuals. 8x8 needs to work these out if they want to be on par with Skype, Hangout, Bluejeans, etc.

Latest update crashes. A lot. Am very hopeful though, the app looks promising! I really want to see this work better before I field to all the staff and quit using our other meeting service.

The app will not work on my MacBook Pro. Would be nice if 8X8 would fix this service.

Works easily as long as you have the right license

The concept is simple but the execution and deployment is anything but. Documentation is lacking and online support is trivial at best. Integration to outlook is problematic.

Can't get the scheduling of a conference meeting to work on any type of device - iMac, iPhone, iPad, PC, Android smartphone.
