Contract analyzer for flagging common drafting errors and checking style guide compliance
ClauseCraft is an add-in for Microsoft Word that checks common errors and style guide compliance when writing agreement documents.
The conventions used as a baseline for ClauseCraft are documented on ClauseCraft Guide – a free library of contract drafting rules and recommendations (available from the add-in).
How it works:
- Draft: Create and edit contract documents in Microsoft Word just as you are used to do.
- Analyze: Open ClauseCraft from the Ribbon bar and hit the Analyze-button. ClauseCraft will analyze your document based on common standards directly in Word (without sending any data to anyone).
- Review: If any stylistic errors or issues are identified in your document, ClauseCraft will flag these in an easily accessible way directly in the sidebar of Microsoft Word.
What does ClauseCraft check for?
- Text that appears to be unfinished drafting or notes.
- Defined terms that include redundant words (such as “the”)
- Defined terms that include words that are improperly capitalized
- Terms that are defined but not used
- Equivalent terms that are defined multiple times
- And much more...
Upgrade to ClauseCraft Pro to get the full potential out of the add-in (free trial available). The Pro version includes more checks than the Free version.
