8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams

Continuously missing calls as the addon isn't able to distinguish when a user is unavailable such as when on a teams call, I keep getting missed calls as 8*8 doesn't flag me as unavailable, as a result I have to log out every time I leave my desk or join a meeting, this includes impromptu meetings

It is so difficult to set a new message and then go back in and reset when it expires. It is not clear what internal and external messages mean or if they are the default when nothing else is selected (like meeting or vacation) It should be easier to turn off a particular outgoing message and return to a default outgoing message.

Texting takes more clicks than it should to read and respond. Teams continuously reopens closed text conversations. And does not mark messages as 'read' if you just leave it open on the screen. You have to exit and reopen the text tab for the notification to be cleared. Then there is the contacts. Teams will not import contacts from 8x8. And adding new contacts must be done manually. You cannot click on a call log or text log and add the number to your contacts. It's convenient to have everything in one app, but not really worth the hassle.

8x8 seems a very bad implementation of a call systems for this company, it does not handle response groups well, it insists on trying to put calls through to you while you are on the phone already forcing you to manually manage your availability status, and it suffers from audio quality issues in calls often where teams calls to same person have no issues. Don't get it

The system is extremely slow to start. Teams used to be quick to set up, now takes ages in the morning.

This app just duplicates alerts from voicemails and SMS alerts. I was hoping for a replacement to the desktop application or more integration to the native teams calling. Unfortunately even though we pay an average of $50 per month per user to 8x8, this is not included and is yet another charged license.

This app. was a necessity for us to stay with 8x8 telecom services while using MS Teams so is was a good start. However it has not continued to progress and still lacks the following: 1. Ability to receive faxes within and or assign various fax number to various users. 2. Does not give the ability to block phone numbers so spam and telemarketing calls have become overwhelming, almost to the point we can no longer use this app. 3. No longer integrates to Act Desktop, the most commonly used version, as it used to so can no longer use for out bound calling or inbound call pop.
