Live Simultaneous Interpretation
cAPPisco is a listening app you can add to your Microsoft Teams meetings to provide live simultaneous interpretation by professional conference interpreters and/or sign language interpreters in a wide variety of languages. It is a user-friendly application that gives all participants of a multilingual meeting the opportunity to participate in the language of his/her choice. cAPPisco offers the interpreters a professional virtual interpreting environment and the listeners an extremely user-friendly listening app, where you can listen to the language channel (spoken and sign languages) of your choice with excellent sound quality. It is an innovative application developed for and by interpreters to make your multilingual meetings effective, inclusive, comfortable and sustainable. Working method
As a meeting organiser you request an interpreting session with the desired configuration (time, languages, title, logo) in advance from cAPPisco at https://cappisco.com/en/tailor-made-options/. Or as a meeting organiser you have a MY cAPPisco Plan and therefore your own cAPPisco account. Do this before adding this to the specific Teams meeting.
Advantages
When you open the cAPPisco listening app in Microsoft Teams, you will be able to select the language of your choice. You can also listen to the original again at any time. Our app will automatically switch to the original speaker if no interpretation is needed for you selected language.
Restrictions
cAPPisco app for Microsoft Teams is not available on Mobile and Surface Hub devices. When you switch to other features (chat, participants list, etc.) in the sidepanel of the Microsoft Teams interface, this will interrupt the simultaneous translation. However, you can easily go back to the language interpretation feature by clicking on the cAPPisco logo again.
How to use
The meeting organiser will need to add the cAPPisco app in your sheduled
meeting. As an attendee you will see the cAPPisco logo appear in your ongoing
meeting. Click the icon to open our app in the meeting
sidepanel. Now you can select your preferred language and start listening to
the live simultaneous interpretation.
App capabilities
- Can send data over the Internet
- This app can access personal information on the active message, such as phone numbers, postal addresses, or URLs. The app may send this data to a third-party service. Other items in your mailbox can’t be read or modified.
