Index Latency

Anita Boerboom
Displays historical data about how long it took for new content to show up in search results.

Content changes (such as new pages and documents) can take some time to appear in search results with Office 365.

This app shows an overview of the historical index latency returned by the SharePoint Search Service.

The app adds a button to the ribbon in a document library which can be selected to show the index latency for that library. Once selected the displayed data tries to help you understand how long it takes for an item to show up in search results. An overview of the historical index latency is shown, with the possibility to show the raw data by selecting the 'Excel Interactive View' button. In Excel Interactive View the data can be filtered, opened in Excel Web App, downloaded and analyzed further.
