Submit your VAT return directly from Excel and digitally link your data to HMRC
VitalTax makes it easy to submit your VAT return without having to leave Excel. Simply select the desired cells in your spreadsheet and the application can import their values into the relevant box on your VAT return. With just one click of a button, your VAT return is sent to HMRC via the Making Tax Digital Application Programming Interface (API). What’s more, you don’t need to have a particular data format or spreadsheet template to use VitalTax, as it can be used with any user-defined Excel spreadsheet.
VitalTax also provides information about historical VAT returns, allowing you to review the details of any VAT return you have submitted. Want to check your VAT liabilities and payments without leaving Excel? No problem. VitalTax gets all of your VAT information directly from HMRC, putting you in control of your data.
In order to use this application, you will need to give permission for VitalTax to interact with HMRC on your behalf. To do this, make sure you have the following credentials to hand:
- Taxpayer: Government Gateway credentials
- Agent: Agent Services Account credentials
VitalTax does not collect, save or record any HMRC credentials. You will provide authorisation securely via the HMRC authorisation portal.
