SPICE Add-in for PowerPoint
Footnotes
The SPICE Add-in will automate the usage of footnotes in PowerPoint. It allows the user to add footnotes to textboxes and shapes. The references to the footnotes will follow the shape if it is moved to another slide. If slides are rearranged the indexing of the footnotes will be updated. SPICE supports both footnotes to be added to the footer of each slide and for a summary of endnotes to be added at the end of the presentation.
Cross references
Just like in Word you can insert a reference to another slide (e.g., "see slide 32 for details"). When slides are rearranged or deleted the reference will be automatically updated to the correct slide number with just a click of a button.
Content references
This wonderful feature lets you define a value for a hashtag (like #profit:12%). When you then use the hashtag (#profit) in a text it will be replaced by the related value (12%). If you change the value of the hashtag, the new value will automatically cascade to all occurrences of the hashtag throughout the presentation. A wonderful way to update regular reports.
Recurring Agenda Slides
SPICE also offers the user support to keep a recurring agenda updated and aligned throughout all the agenda slides, without the need to update them individually. The user can create a recurring agenda from a single text box and keep all the created agenda slides updated based on changes in one text box.
Other productivity improving tricks
Besides the footnotes, agendas and maps, SPICE offers a ranges of smaller tricks that save time in daily work. You can copy the position from one shape and apply to another shape. You can swap position of two selected shapes. You can split and merge text boxes.
And much more will be added in the future.
