Overview
AL Tracking enhances Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central by adding two configurable tracking dimensions — Pallet and External Lot — alongside the standard Lot, Serial, and Package fields. Use these dimensions independently or in combination to manage complex traceability scenarios across the entire process flow.
The app supports automatic and manual assignment of full tracking combinations directly on document, production, and warehouse lines and integrates seamlessly with standard BC workflows (sales, purchases, transfers, production, consumption, picks/put-aways, and inventory journals). Tracking data is preserved after posting, enabling full forward and backward traceability for audits and investigations.
When paired with AL Catch Weight Management, AL Tracking captures weight and tracking together, allowing automatic assignment of complete tracking combinations during weighing operations.
