NO PRIVACY!
I was very excited after purchasing and installing this app. It appeared to solve all my issues with tracking employee time off. It is very affordable, the user interface and integration with Microsoft Teams is excellent, I could not find a negative component.... Until I initiated a Demo with some employees and realized that all users (not admins) could see all other users scheduled time away (not a big setback) as well as the reason (Dealbreaker). I am now forced to move on with my search for an alternative application. Very disappointing.

We track people who are late by .25 or .50 which is discussed during their reviews.

We just started using vacation tracker, and so far, everyone has found it very easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?For us, the best thing abut vacation tracker is ease of use. We also like that we can go one place to see who is out of the office.What do you dislike about the product?The one thing we dislike about vacation tracker is that we can only have one type of period. Our vacation leave is based on employment date, and our sick/pto leave is based on a calendar year.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation tracker is helping us keep better track of everyone's time. Before, each manager was in charge of keeping track of their department.

Not intuitive at all
Not able to add a leave (hourly, half day, anything) if I already added a "leave" for working remotely. These two things are not related and shall not restrict each other. For example I can plan to work remotely the whole month as I am working from home, but is something happens and I have to take a day or a half day off I should be able to do that, but currently is not possible. The same applies also for hourly leave. The other thing is related to hourly leave, it does not let me add leave with half an hour granularity. Also if I add a leave I cannot cancel it or modify it.
So far, Vacation Tracker has worked well the set up process has been well received by our employees.
What do you like best about the product?I like the Wallchart the best. It shows me in an instant who is out. No more guessing Also, I find leave requestes to be easy for everyone. Everything is all in one place.What do you dislike about the product?I would like to be able to have different quota leave periods. We use employment date for vacation time and use calendar year for sick time.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?We really didn't have any type of tracking system. Each manager was supposed to keep track of their staff, which really didn't happen, and no one knew how much time they actually had taken. We just started using vacation tracker, and already the managers are able to see who is in, and when asked, they know how much time an individual has left to use.
Simpler is BETTER! Vacation Tracker has been a fantastic addition!
What do you like best about the product?We use Teams for everything. And to have Vacation Tracker work so seamlessly with Teams has made the process easier for staff to request and track their time out of the office. No more excel spreadsheets for each staffperson, no more manual updates for tracking PTO and Sick Days! Staff have told me how much that appreciate the real-time updates.What do you dislike about the product?It's more robust than you might think. Take your time learning the back end. It will save you some headaches down the road.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation Tracker has made my life a lot easier by simplifying the tracking process. Staff are pleased that it is integrated in Teams - they don't have to learn a new system or app.

What do you like best about the product?I like that it makes sense. There are a lot of ways to organize it to your liking and for the needs of your business. They really had the needs of individual businesses in mind.What do you dislike about the product?I wish there was an app that my employees could download which would make the process easier to create requests and for me to approve them.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?They have changed the total hours for select locations so that I can have something specific for my people that work part-time
Vacation Tracker has been such a great thing for our company!
What do you like best about the product?The implementation process was a breeze. It allows us to see exactly whose on PTO, WFH and when. It's cut down on people wondering where others are or contacting people when they're out.
Customer help was also very supportive and helpful when we made the switch from Slack to Teams. They offered to transfer the data over for us and provided a clear, attainable route to get everything set up without a lag.What do you dislike about the product?Nothing. This integrates seamlessly in to our operation, allows employees to take PTO with ease.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Each team tracked PTO differently and there was no central location for the entire company to have visibility to who was out.
