Holiday Tutorial is a free app that I developed to demonstrate features of an Office 365 Access App to a Microsoft Access Special Interest Group (SIG) in the Philadelphia Area Computer Society (PACS). It has worked well for me, and I am happy to have the opportunity to share it with others. Here is the web address for PACS: http://www.pacsnet.org .
The app is unlocked so that you can download it and use it as you like. Some records have deliberately been left without hyperlinks or images in order to make it easier to show how to add them. I've just completed a video presentation using this app to demonstrate how to add an image control to a holiday that does not have one. I'm hoping that it will be there first in a series of videos using the Holiday Tutorial app to demonstrate various other tasks in an Access App. You can view the video at this web address:

This app is not intended to be a complete listing of holidays. As it is, it can only accommodate one year, since each holiday is given only one date. If you are teaching database structure and normalization, you could revise this app by creating a separate dates table and relating it to the holidays table with look-up fields, or have students do that as an exercise.
I'm sure that if you download and use the Holiday Tutorial app, you will think of various other ways to improve and build on it. If you have questions, problems, suggestions for improvements or enhancements, please find my contact information at the following web address: https://sites.google.com/site/accdevjd/contact-us . I would love to hear from you.
I hope you will find the Holiday Tutorial app to be a valuable teaching tool, and will have fun playing with it.
