Defining the requirements for a Goal Oriented BI Dashboard. (2 hr)

• Defining the Early and Late requirements for a BI Dashboard
• Defining the three categories of goals (3Gs) for stakeholders (Strategic, Decision, and Information Goals)

Aligning the metrics of a dashboard with Power BI through decisionmakers goals: The Vice academic Dean Case (Case based learning methodology) (4 hr)

• Modeling the requirements of a BI dashboard through GOIS methodology
• Defining KPI’s for business performance measurement aligned to 3Gs
• Designing the Dashboard with Microsoft Power BI

Day 2

Aligning the metrics of a dashboard with Power BI through decisionmakers goals: The Vice academic Dean Case (4 hrs)

• Work environment: Power BI Desktop
• Analysis of data sources for the case
• Components: Power BI Desktop and Power BI Cloud Service
• Tasks: Connect, integrate, model and visualize (see below for extended tasks)
• Dashboards (Panels) and reports
• Functionalities of the Power BI environment applied to the case

Dashboard implementation, interpretation and analysis (Early and Late requirements) (1 hr)
