Case Break

The Case Break Extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central automates inventory case break open for items with multiple Units of Measure. When smaller Units of Measure, like singles or six packs (using beverages as example) are going to go below 0 qty on hand, the Case Break automatically "breaks open" larger units, such as 12 Packs or Cases (or whatever your Item(s) Units of Measure are), reduces the larger unit, down to what is sold, and what remains in the next smaller unit. This enables tracking each Unit of Measure's on hand quantity. Each Unit of Measure can have its own price so increasing pack quantities of Items can be sold for lower price per unit, if desired. Configuration can be set globally or per Item, making it easy to control how case breaking behaves across your Items.
