Explore the world of your data with Maps, the intelligent, versatile and interactive Power BI visual for geospatial information.

Key Features:

• Versatility: Visualize your data through area coloring (choropleth map), with mini charts, or by marking, coloring and labeling routes or points on the map.
• Interactivity: Pan, rotate, and zoom the map as you wish. Select areas to highlight or to filter other visuals on the page. Turn on auto-centering and the map will automatically center on the current selection.
• Customizability: Choose from more than 150 global and regional maps (included and offline available) and different projections. Use known geographical hierarchies to drill, or define your own groupings and drill paths. Enjoy lots of formatting options.
• Transparency: Display of meta data used for mapping supports designers preparing their data model for the use of Maps.

• US and Germany level 3 (i.e. county/district) maps
• Data driven map assignment - to enable switch to a more detailed map on drill
• Display points by their geocoordinates (latitude/longitude)
• Display lines by from pairs of geocoordinates or even multi stop routes from any number of geo coordinates (e.g., to visualize shipping routes)
• Show areas, points and lines together on the map, each individually formattable and selectable
• Use images as markers or in "image charts" where the image size changes with value.
• Use color groups to conveniently color sets of shapes, points or lines
• Various interaction/navigation options (e.g., user navigation by selection, zoom, pan and/or drill, auto centering by selection, slicer, highlights)
• Shape and line coloration based on linear, diverging or logarithmic scale and color legend.
