HCLTech Windows 11 Transformation : 4-week Proof of Concept

This proof of concept allows customers to test the upgrade process and experience Windows 11 in action

Scope

• Up to 100 endpoints upgraded to Windows 11 using the appropriate upgrade approach (in-place upgrade / clean image installation / Autopilot)
• Source OS: Windows 10 Enterprise, Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Windows 7
• 1-2 custom OS image (clean image installation)
• Up to 5 non-standard applications
• Configure Windows 11 security features
• Cloud-attach Windows 10/11 clients to Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Microsoft Intune
• Deploying Microsoft 365 Apps using Configuration Manager
• Work with Microsoft AppAssure to resolve any application compatibility issues (for windows 10 to Windows 11 migration)
• Validation of Windows 10 / Windows 11 co-existence scenarios

Out of scope

• Application re-packaging or re-factoring when migrating from Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 11

Deliverables

• Working Windows 11 POC environment
• Proof-of-Concept report with observations and recommendations

Pre-requisites

• Windows 11 Readiness Assessment was done by HCLTech
• Endpoints meet Windows 11 hardware requirements
• Customer Eligibility for Windows 11 upgrade (License entitlements according to Microsoft requirements)
