Microsoft 365 GCC High Mig from Exchange: 6 Week Implementation

Daymark Solutions

White-glove migration to Microsoft 365 GCC High for organizations with regulatory compliance requirements and are currently using Microsoft Exchange On-Premises

Does your organization require Microsoft 365 GCC High to meet regulatory compliance requirements including but not limited to CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, DFARS, or ITAR? Our extensive Microsoft GCC High expertise, proven 5-step methodology, and deep industry knowledge provides organizations with a smooth and secure transition from Microsoft Exchange On-Premises to the Microsoft 365 GCC High sovereign cloud.

Step 1:
  • During Step 1, Daymark Professional Services will review your Exchange environment and document the existing configuration and settings that should be considered for migration or porting to GCC High. Daymark will also review your collaboration use cases to begin mapping your requirements to specific Microsoft features and the associated licenses. Daymark will then draft a project timeline and work plan along with initial communications to be shared with your end users prior to migrating.

Step 2:

  • In Step 2 Daymark will procure the required Microsoft GCC High licenses identified during Step 1 and prepare a new Microsoft 365 GCC High tenant for your organization including the configuration of Azure Active Directory Connect and your existing AD Domain. Based on the licenses procured for the project, Daymark will enable and configure security and compliance controls such as Data Loss Prevention, Information Retention and Protection, Message Encryption, Anti-Phishing, and Attachment Protection. Our team will then review with your team, the Microsoft 365 and Azure AD admin centers along with the configuration of any migration process or tools to be utilized.

Step 3:

  • Step 3 will involve creating several test migrations to validate the configuration of both the source Exchange and destination tenant as well as the migration process. Testing will identify any final changes that may be needed in the policies, processes, or tenants to ensure a smooth migration. Daymark will also coordinate the scheduling of complimentary Microsoft led user training sessions focused on Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive in GCC High.

Step 4:

  • Step 4 will focus on the initial migration and sync of data ahead of the cutover date. Our team will also help draft any final communications to end users and go-live checklist which Daymark and your team will follow during the transition and cutover. Daymark will the perform the migration and cutover including a post migration validation testing with your team to ensure a successful transition.

Step 5:

  • Daymark will provide administrator level knowledge transfer and onboard your GCC High administrators to our MyDaymark Support Portal including an introduction to the support team and a dedicated Daymark Customer Success Manager.

The scope of this engagement includes the configuration and migration of Exchange Online, OneDrive and other base level components for up to 25 users but does not include the deployment or configuration of all components included with Microsoft 365 E3 or E5. Additional users and/or features identified during discovery may be included as part of this engagement but would require a custom scope and cost. This offering is for Professional Services only and does not include Microsoft Licenses or MyDaymark Support.
