Through a simple add-on interface, users can send queries to internal or cloud-hosted databases, retrieve real-time data directly into Google Sheets or Excel, and collaborate.

With Query Streams, sharing a live database query is not only secure—it’s interactive. When you share a query with a remote user through the Excel or Google Sheets add-on, the add-on automatically reads your defined filter parameters and presents a clean, user-friendly UI—like dropdowns, checkboxes, date pickers, or multi-select lists—directly inside the spreadsheet. As the user interacts with these filters, the add-on dynamically rebuilds the SQL query behind the scenes based on their selections, then runs it in real time. For example, a shared query might include a dropdown for Region and a date range picker for Order Date; as the user changes those fields, the SQL query is instantly updated (e.g., WHERE region = 'East' AND order_date BETWEEN '2024-01-01' AND '2024-06-01'), and fresh data is returned—without ever exposing your original SQL code or database structure. It’s secure, dynamic, and built for collaboration.
