The title says it all. You can delete it, but it will still show up in meetings. Literally microsoft sponsored spyware.

Read AI has been a great tool thanks to its cross-platform functionality and ease of use. One standout feature is the ability to upload videos and have the AI automatically generate summaries, action items, and more—saving time and improving meeting follow-ups. Compared to Microsoft Teams’ built-in Copilot, Read AI offers a smoother experience, especially when collaborating with external users. With Teams, IT often needs to adjust settings or permissions to allow Copilot features for guests, which adds unnecessary friction. Read AI works seamlessly out of the box, without needing those configuration tweaks. That said, I do wish the mobile experience was on par with the desktop version. It would also be a big plus if the platform supported AirPlay or Chromecast so videos could be easily streamed to a TV. Overall, Read AI has quickly become a valuable tool in our workflow, offering smart AI note-taking without the usual barriers.

It isn't very easy to access the call logs. I uninstalled it because I didn't want to waste time figuring out a half baked app. After uninstallation, the app is still entering meetings. Even with people out of my organization. It feels like a virus. Please don't install this app. Look somewhere else for meeting summaries.

The app also jumped in a meeting I couldn't participate, and write me notes so it helps me during my absence

Very disappointed to hear that Read.AI does not currently support or allow you to choose preferred pronouns. When I reached out to support, I was told that this feature is in progress, but not available yet. This seems like a no-brainer feature that should've been included from the start. From support - "In the meantime, know that within the meeting summary of an existing report, you can edit the content using the edit option on the page and change the pronouns accordingly. As these changes are made manually, Read will start to adjust pronoun usage."

We love this for meeting notes!

First, it is NOT a really FREE app, so if you don’t want to pay more than 5 reports m you will need to remove and that is when the TROUBLE begins. I installed and subsequently uninstalled the app on the same day, but it seems to persistently run in the background during my meetings. Despite its apparent absence on my device, my colleagues can still see it in the meetings, prompting inquiries about why it's active and why this "person" is coming to our meetings. This situation is causing me distress. I have reached out to read.ai via email but have not seen a response yet on my mail box.
