Loadsmart’s Simple Quote tool gives anyone the ability to price and book full truckload shipments directly from Excel.

HOW TO PRICE A SHIPMENT

  • Create an account at www.loadsmart.com
  • Ensure your spreadsheet has columns for equipment type (DRF or RFR, pickup (zip code), destination (zip code), and a pickup date
  • In an empty cell, use the formula LSSIMPLEQUOTE(EquipmentType, Origin Zip, Pickup Date, Delivery Zip) to price your shipment
  • Like the rate? Just click the cell which contains the price and the link for the Loadsmart website will appear in the side panel of the add-in

DEFINITIONS

  • Equipment Type: DRV or RFR
  • Pick-up and Delivery Times: 24-hour Clock (e.g. 14:00 or 09:00)
  • Zip codes: Five Digits (e.g. 01970, 02779)
