The Power BI Governance Accelerator 2-week implementation offering focuses on establishing a governance plan that supports both business and technical needs for your organization to successfully implement Microsoft Power BI. Highlights from this offering include:

• People and Practices to provide focus on primary drivers of a governance program by assigning roles and responsibilities across the organization.
• Process that outlines the necessary execution to deliver BI services under the governance program
• Implementation that outlines how the governance plan is to be executed across the tools and services that make up Power BI

Activities and Deliverables

Week 1

• Review People and Practices in areas of support, end-user readiness and enablement, data handling compliance, communications, Power User strategy, Roles and Responsibilities, Near Term and Long Term Power BI Roadmap
• Analyze processes across areas of permissions model, report provisioning, licensing, data model usage, chargeback model, content management and security
• Design and implementation plan that covers approved data sources, development life-cycle and production deployment with App Workspaces, Template Apps, content packs, Power BI Desktop tool deployment policies, and gateway management

Week 2

• Deliver a Power BI Governance Plan that will encompass the People and Practices, Process and Implementation captured from Week 1
• Create a customized Power BI Training/Enablement Plan that will support the needs of your organization's Data Architects, Data Stewards, Power Users, Report Writers, key stakeholders, and casual Power BI users
• Provide a near term and long term road map to drive adoption of Microsoft Power BI with recommended best practices to reinforce key elements of the Power BI Governance Plan
• Deliver a formal executive presentation for key stakeholders to initiate the next steps of the proposed governance plan
