MIP 1-Day Workshop and Concept

Advania

The MIP Workshop covers the high level design considerations applicable to an information classification and DLP implementation for Microsoft 365.

This workshop leverages Microsoft 365 to introduces various features such as the file encryption, rights and expiration concepts of Information Rights Management, and the differences in client and service implementations of the Rights Management Service (RMS) SDK. The workshop also focuses on file type, client and device compatibility issues, and how these can vary with different client/server interactions. These considerations, more than any other, will determine how and where different organisations will choose to add these protections. Our Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) 1-day Workshop provides you with an overview of the information protection lifecycle as defined by Microsoft. We work with you to help you define what Azure Information Protection (AIP) and related Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) capabilities will be deployed in your environment, to meet data classification and optionally, protection requirements. During each stage of the lifecycle, the supporting technical concepts are explored comprehensively. Specific focus is given to classification, including initial label configuration and the Rights Management Service. This includes file encryption rights and expiration concepts of Information Rights Management along with classification technologies and monitoring tools. The output of the workshop is a Microsoft Information Protection Concept document that captures the intended use-cases for MIP, identifying an initial tenant-scoped configuration for these technologies. We identify the extent to which AIP and RMS capabilities will be integrated with related security features such as Office 365 Data Loss Prevention (DLP). This workshop is typically accompanied by our Core Data Governance, Policy Orchestration, MCAS and AIP Implementation offerings. The workshop is a full-day session, comprised of four to six hours of workbook content, with flexible time remaining for questions, discussion and advice.
