NAV24 - External Scrap Code

The goal of each production company is production without scraps, because eliminating them allows reducing the unit costs of manufactured products. 

The standard Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality allows you to register scraps on machine centers, but not work centers. In many enterprises, the registration of production operations is carried out at work centers, not at machine centers. That's why this app was created. 

The application allows you to register the cause of production scraps without the need for machine centers. The standard field in the production log has been replaced by a new, additional field, which at the time of filling in introduces the value into the standard field without triggering validation. 

Information on the causes of scraps enables:

- identification of the places of occurrence of scraps along with the cause  

- indication of products generating most deficiencies, which allows matching sales prices to the real costs of their production  

- elimination of scraps due to knowledge of the reasons for their occurrence 

- making the right decisions regarding resources (machines and people)
