Add Quality Measurements to any business process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Add Quality Management measurements to your business processes to improve the quality of your products and organization!
We needed a good solution for incoming goods inspection with the possibility of also working with samples according to MIL-105D/E standards. Registering intermediate (sample) inspections in production has also been a wish for some time. It was important to link the information to the logistics as much as possible in order to make track and tracing simple and reliable.

With Quality Management for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central you can automatically create measurements as part of a business process or you can create ad-hoc incidents when non-conformities occur or you can use it as a complaint handling system.

Measurements are automatically created from measurement templates in which you define WHEN, WHAT and HOW to inspect:

  • WHEN - from which Business Central table the measurement is triggered.
  • WHAT - set the sampling method and size, the available methods include AQL and Zero Defects.
  • HOW - select a Question Set from which a check sheet is created as part of the measurement.
Many processes have been prepared and are available from the To-Increase on-line help portal. Refer to the Quality Management Matrix document for a complete list and detailed mapping of the source fields per table.
Besides the above you can define a data snapshot to capture additional data from up to 10 fields in the selected table. You can set recurring check sheets, check sheets per lot or serial number with a setting for First Lot/Serial approval.
The ad-hoc incidents can be created from many places (documents) in Business Central and can be of the type Material, Man, Machine or Method to assist in a root-cause analysis of the incident. Optionally this incident can also trigger a measurement to support the root-cause analysis with a check list.
