Business Central manages multiple currencies. Whereas It is natively capable of connecting with exchange rates services, you need to set-it up yourself.

This is where it can get tricky.

If you can find a demonstration company to copy the data from, this could make things easy. If not, depending on the service you try to connect to and your understanding of handling xml or json files, this can be more difficult than you wish.

If you are not interested or have little time to spend doing this setup, this extension is intended for you. It does the setup for you; we went to the nitty gritty of the main services and did the plumbing.

You just choose your provider from the list (we even make the recommendations).

if your currency is not one of the official currency above, you can still use any service provider from the list. We have prepared the setup with relational currencies as well (triangularisation). For example, your currency is GBP and you want to use the European Central Bank, this is possible, EUR will be set up as the relational currency in the exchange rates.

ECB and RBA give all the currency exchanges in one service whereas FRB and CAD provide one service per currency. We have managed it so that it does not take longer.

Easy setup, just choose your provider and this is it.

From your provider list, look at the last exchanges update or when is the next one schedule.
