Extend

With Extend you can make and receive phone calls anywhere on your mobile phone using your Teams Calling number and Teams Calling plan using the native mobile phone experience.

The Extend for Microsoft Teams App is an application to provide users with a step by step on boarding process for the Extend service.

The Extend service

• uses an eSim that can be instantly installed using a QR code, and is automatically integrated with your Teams Calling account.
• will work with Teams Calling numbers and plans from selected Operator Connect providers.
• works seamlessly with your other Teams Calling services and applications, so that all numbering, call routing, call control, call tracking, call recording, dial plan, calling policy and calling plans are under the control of Microsoft Teams.
• runs natively on the mobile network, so does not require use of the Teams client, and can provide superior voice quality whether or not you have a data connection for your apps.

Requirements:

• Extend must be enabled for your tenant by an Extend operator partner.
• Operator Connect Numbers and Calling plans.
• Users must have a Teams license that supports Teams calling.
• The tenant has SIP Gateway service enabled by your tenant administrator.
• Any mobile phone that has been carrier unlocked or is not in a carrier contract.
