Mendeley Cite speeds up the process of referencing when writing, giving researchers the tools to quickly and easily insert references from their Mendeley library directly into their Word document.
The Mendeley Cite add-in for Word, which can be used without having Mendeley Desktop open or even installed if your library is synced to Mendeley cloud, allows you to insert individual or multiple references and automatically create a bibliography from the citations you've inserted.
To use Mendeley Cite you'll need a free Mendeley account, available from www.mendeley.com. You can also set up an account through the add on.
Mendeley Cite is in beta. Users who have started to create documents using the existing Mendeley Desktop Citation plugin will currently not be able to convert this for use with Mendeley Cite. We are working on a document convert option and this will be available in the summer. To use Mendeley Cite you will have to start a new document.
We are continuously developing the brand-new Mendeley Cite tool, with new features and functionality being added regularly. For more information about the most recent releases please see our release notes https://www.mendeley.com/release-notes-mendeley-cite.
Help us make sure Mendeley Cite does what you need by giving your feedback using the link from the tab at the bottom-right of the add-in.
