Planner IQ

Planner IQ brings a focused, day-view taskboard for Microsoft Planner directly into Microsoft Teams — and adds a lightweight AI assistant to speed up daily planning.

What it does

• Shows tasks scheduled for today with quick navigation to past or future dates.
• Drag-and-drop task assignment and status changes.
• Pin recurring or reference tasks for easy access.
• Customize the taskboard to show buckets, labels, or assignees.
• Works entirely inside Microsoft Teams — no separate window required.

AI features (what the AI actually does)

• Natural-language quick add: Type "Follow up with Contoso tomorrow 10:00, high priority" to update an existing task with the specified due date and priority.
• Smart suggestions: The AI proposes due dates, priorities, and assignees based on existing task metadata in Microsoft Planner (e.g., due dates, labels, recent assignees).
• Summarize & clarify: Get one-click summaries of long task descriptions or channel notes; optionally rewrite them for clarity and brevity.
• Daily focus plan: Automatically generates a short list of "top tasks for today" that you can accept, edit, or ignore.
• Bulk updates in plain English: For example, type "Move all overdue design tasks to 'In Progress' and assign to Alex." The AI never applies changes without your explicit confirmation.

Data access & privacy

• Planner IQ only accesses Microsoft Planner data in the plans you select, using Microsoft Graph permissions granted by your tenant.
• Customer data is not used to train AI models. AI processing is limited to serving your in-app requests and suggestions.
• Minimal operational logs (excluding task content) are stored temporarily to ensure proper functioning. Admins may request deletion at any time.

Admin controls

• AI features can be enabled or disabled at the tenant level.
• Only users with permission to edit a plan can apply AI-proposed changes.
• The app adheres to your tenant’s Microsoft 365 compliance and data-loss prevention (DLP) policies.

Requirements

• A Microsoft work or school account.
• Access to at least one shared Microsoft Planner plan.
• Appropriate Planner and Graph API permissions configured by your administrator.

Limitations

• Planner IQ operates only within the scope of selected Planner plans.
• Some AI features (suggestions, summaries) require internet connectivity.
• Integrations or reporting outside of Microsoft Teams are not included in the core functionality.
