Mitigate Compliance and Privacy Risks Workshop: 4-week Workshop

For the majority of organizations, external cybersecurity risks have been a priority for many years. These organizations, however, are now considering the risks posed by trusted insiders as an equal or even bigger threat. Vulnerability to insider attacks is increasingly relevant, especially considering a significant number of employees are working remotely with personal devices and new cloud apps. Organizations are beginning to recognize the importance of establishing controls that enable them to quickly identify and manage insider risks.

Microsoft 365 is at the forefront of providing technologies that help you solve these everyday challenges. Our Mitigate Compliance and Privacy Risks Workshop is powered by the User Risk Check, which leverages a subset of Microsoft 365 products and services to monitor communications, behavior, and data of a select group of organizational users. The User Risk Check will identify events that might impose a risk to the organization and these identified events will serve as input to the overall workshop and will be used to create awareness and the need for mitigation.

At the end of the workshop, any identified risks will be mapped to Microsoft 365 Risk Management and services from the Microsoft 365 Information Protection and Governance suite. As such, you will not only have a better understanding of insider risks you are facing— you will also know what you can do to mitigate them.

In addition to identifying insider risks, our Mitigate Compliance and Privacy Risks Workshop includes assessment of your Microsoft 365 environment against the Data Protection Baseline and one or more specific assessments to help you comply with national, regional, and/or industry-specific requirements governing the collection and use of data. This workshop consists of a 4-week agenda:

WEEK 1: Prepare for delivery: The engagement will start with a remote preparation meeting. This pre-engagement meeting is an online meeting organized one week prior to the start of the workshop. During this meeting, we will discuss upcoming activities, decide on optional modules to be included, and establish a list of internal resources needed by our team in order to complete the exercise. The remainder of the first week is intended to be used by you, the customer, to coordinate logistics, allocate resources, and prepare for the workshop.

WEEK 2: Configure and enable Automated Discovery: The second week marks the actual start of the engagement. Together with you, the customer, we will configure and enable all necessary services to begin Automated Discovery in support of the User Risk Check.

WEEK 3: Automated Discovery continues: During the third week, the Automated Discovery/User Risk Check will continue to run.

WEEK 4: Analyze, report, and workshop: In the fourth and final week, the findings will be collected, analyzed, and mapped to Microsoft 365 solutions for risk mitigation. Privacy and regulatory risks will be discussed and a roadmap containing recommendations/actionable next steps will be provided.
