Item Transaction Check by Isatech lets you define your own rules to block/allow item transactions depending on document type (sales, purchase, transfer) and item characteristics.

Unlike Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central standard "block item" functionality, you do not have to post document to get an alert. Alert will be presented when validating item code input on document line.

 
Blocking rules are free to defined and flexible it can be defined for a range of items (you can filter depending on any item table field) and a range of customers (in case of sales document), vendors (in case of purchase document) or locations (in case of transfer order).

Alert message will pop up a message window when blocking event is triggered. You can define your own explicit message by using blocking rule’s description such as:
“This customer only accepts Veggie products” or “This location only stores pallets”.
