Viva Connections: 4-week PoC

Microsoft Viva is an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights in the flow of work. Powered by Microsoft 365 and experienced through Microsoft Teams, Viva fosters a culture that empowers people and teams to be their best from anywhere.

Viva Connections will help you to:

• Encourage meaningful connections across the organization by enabling employees to easily discover relevant communications and communities.
• Foster a culture of inclusion by empowering every employee to contribute ideas and share feedback
• Align the entire organization around your vision, mission, and strategic priorities

The agenda for the 4-week workshop is as below:

Week 1: Environment Analysis & Planning Phase · Requirement Study · License and integration requirements · Verify pre-requisites for MIcrosoft Viva Connections POC

Week 2: Viva Connections Setup · Prepare intranet navigation design and content · Designate a home site in SharePoint · Enable the SharePoint app bar and customize global navigation · Creating Dashboard, add cards, and apply audience targeting in SharePoint · Configuring Feed with SharePoint news and Yammer · Enable the Viva Connections app in the Microsoft Teams admin center · Create a Dashboard and add cards · Viva Connections app in the Teams Admin Center · Embed Video news links in the Viva Connections Feed

Week 3: Viva Connections basic customizations · Creating a site collection from SharePoint look book template service. · Branding of the site (including webparts and analytics to measure employee engagement, multilingual support, and external sharing). · Configuring a news framework (for example, news posts, audience targeting, and Yammer integration).

Week 4: POC Rollout & Next actions · Rollout to POC users · Reports and recommendation · Next Actions
