SMART Batch Fixed Asset Accounting

SMART Batch Fixed Asset Accounting is a solution for convenient and efficient accounting of low-value non-current fixed assets (Low-Value FAs) that are purchased in large quantities without the need to track each unit individually. The functionality covers all key processes: procurement, release, movement, and disposal of assets. The system uses a two-level (parent-child) accounting structure, which simplifies the management of large asset batches and ensures accurate control over their allocation, location, and responsible persons.

Benefits:

• All data on low-value non-current assets is stored and processed directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This eliminates the need for external integration or manual data transfers between systems. Full automation of all processes – from procurement to inventory and disposal – minimizes the risk of errors and ensures high accounting accuracy.
• The system supports a two-level accounting model: a group card (parent) for the entire asset batch and individual cards (child) for each unit. This enables flexible management of both groups and individual assets.
• When creating a child-level Low-Value FA, the system automatically generates the required number of child cards by inheriting data from the parent card. This greatly simplifies data entry, reduces manual work, and saves time.
• Release, movement, or disposal of Low-Value FAs can be carried out in bulk within a single document. The system automatically selects the required units using the FIFO method or allows the user to choose them manually – all for maximum convenience and efficiency.

Key functionality:

• Creation of a single Low-Value FA (parent) card used for procurement, and generation/viewing of corresponding Low-Value FA (child) cards.
• Ability to account for Low-Value FA (child) purchases through multiple receipts/
• Ability to move a Low-Value FA (parent) along with all unallocated Low-Value FAs (child) or move multiple allocated Low-Value FAs (child) at once.
• Release / Sending for upgrade / Upgrade / Return from upgrade / Write-off in a single document for multiple Low-Value FAs (child). The system automatically selects the relevant Low-Value FA (child) cards using the FIFO method based on applied filters, while also allowing the user to modify the selection manually/
• Two-level view of Low-Value FAs available on the FA Turnover Sheet and on the Low-Value FA (multiquantity) page.
