A strong Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process utilizing a platform like Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 for Supply Chain Management enables our manufacturing and distribution clients to take a holistic view and form a future state business plan to achieve their set goals across all areas of the organization.

RSM’s S&OP assessment focuses on analyzing existing supply and demand requirements to form a plan helping the management team to strategically achieve competitive advantages by integrating sales, marketing, manufacturing, growth, sourcing and financial forecasts. By executing a successful S&OP process, an organization can incur many benefits, including reduction of inventory carrying costs, improved forecast accuracy and operational efficiency, and improved working capital and EBITA.

An S&OP assessment will begin by evaluating all existing planning processes and identifying improvement opportunities within each area. First, the team will assess the demand planning practices to form a complete demand profile that will drive the supply and production forecasting processes.
