Migrating to Microsoft 365 from any 3rd party email and collaboration platform can be an intimidating and challenging task. Dealing with data migration and training end-users along with troubleshooting technical issues can make the migration seem like a science project, possibly preventing you from never getting the project kicked off and started.

Our Approach

Our migration approach includes but is not limited to the following tasks and is based on scoping and conditions of satisfaction being set at the start of the engagement.

• Assess & Design: Through a pre-migration questionnaire and series of interviews and workshops, we develop a foundational understanding of the features and capabilities you are using in Google Workspace and map those to their equivalent in Microsoft 365. We deliver an overview of Microsoft 365 workloads to help you with making decision points on new capabilities you wish to deploy.
• Enable & Migrate: With the design in-hand, we deploy and configure your new Microsoft 365 tenant and Microsoft 365 Apps and start customizing Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint and other key workloads according to your business and technical requirements. From there we setup the migration tools used to perform the migration, divide your end-users into migration groups and start scheduling the migration – carefully monitoring and optimizing each group to ensure each user’s data is successfully migrated.
• Adoption & Change Management: As each group is migrated, we schedule and deliver training seminars to help them learn how to use their new Microsoft 365 workloads, starting with Microsoft 365 Apps, SharePoint, One Drive, and Microsoft Teams. Additionally, we handle all end-user communications pre and post migration, and provide white glove support services to ensure they are successful with their new way of working and tailor 1:1 sessions where specific users may encounter adoption challenges.

Deliverables

The adoption accelerator includes the following documented deliverables that will be provided to the customer after each phase:

• Functional Specification and Design Guide: As we conduct our discovery and assessment, we will provide a document containing all technical and business requirements along with any other considerations for the new Microsoft 365 environment and migration. This document describes the decisions made, why they were made, how the migration was conducted, and how the Microsoft 365 tenant was built.
• Migration Plan: As we plan for and deliver the actual migration of data, we will provide a document containing the step by step plan of tasks to be performed, dependencies, due dates, user group scheduling, identify and risks/issues that may arise and any other important elements you should know about. Throughout the migration phase we will have a status meeting with you to go through the plan.
• Training: Before we start meeting with end-users, we will provide an adoption plan that contains a schedule of seminars, agenda, VIP users for 1:1 training, and other important elements related to supporting you on your first day using Microsoft 365. As we help end users adopt Microsoft 365, we will provide to you all training and communications content that is used with your end-users and will store this content in a SharePoint site.
