The Emissions Impact Dashboard provides our cloud customers with transparency into their greenhouse gas emissions associated with cloud usage. Our Generally Available version and is available for anyone to download.

Requirements for getting started

The Emissions Impact Dashboard runs on Power BI Pro. Get the Power BI Pro free trial.
The Emissions Impact Dashboard can support EA, Microsoft Customer Agreement, and CSP for Azure customers. Enrollment ID or Billing Account ID, each with Admin access, is required to connect your company data to the calculator. For more info on how to connect the calculator, visit this site.

Microsoft’s emissions reports are determined via a methodology that was validated by Stanford University in 2018 which aligns to ISO standards for measuring greenhouse gas emissions. These calculations are inclusive of Microsoft’s scopes 1, 2, and 3, which means that they include emissions from Microsoft’s extended network of vendors and suppliers. Reports reflect Microsoft’s investments in renewables as well as the fuel energy mix in the regions where your computing takes place alongside other factors.

Access to the Emissions Impact Dashboard will require your EA enrollment number or Billing Account ID, and admin access. It may take up to 24 hours to connect and calculate your data after credential validation.
