Vietnam Pre-Implementation: 1-Wk Assessment

This is 1 week assessment run by SYSCOM USA, Tokyo. The consulting service by conducting Pre-Implementation Assessment is aimed to companies/enterprises that are operating or going to operate a business in Vietnam and want to manage with Microsoft ERP system.

In order to implement an ERP system in Vietnam, you need to pay attention to 2 main points that may affect your system under Vietnamese law, which are:

VAS (Vietnamese Accounting Standard): The accounting standard based on International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") and implemented by The Ministry of Finance of Vietnam ("MoF"). The latest release is Circulars No. 200/2014/TT-BTC, providing guidance to VAS for a wide range of forms and reports.

VAS basically require:

• Vietnamese in all reports
• Vietnam Dong as the accounting currency
• Specified reports based on VAS

Also, there are more than 20 reports following VAS which enterprises in Vietnam need to consider when expanding business to Vietnam.

E-Invoice (Electronic Invoice): Vietnam government recently issued Decree No.119/2018/ND-CP (“Decree 119”), announcing the use of e-invoices for the sale of goods and services. According to the decree, it is compulsory from November 1st, 2020 for all companies and enterprises within Vietnam to issue e-invoice instead of the paper-based invoice.
