JourneyTEAM Power BI Implementation

JourneyTEAM has developed a quick start approach to helping companies rapidly and effectively adopt Microsoft's Power BI. This approach guides company employees successfully through the implementation process by applying Power BI best practices. The Sherpa project requires dedicated, engaged company employees to achieve success, while offering JourneyTEAM Power BI specialists for guidance and support.

10 WEEK IMPLEMENTATION SERVICE OFFERINGS*

• DISCOVERY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SETUP
  • Sherpa Guides will meet with your team and gain an understanding of the current environment including: business objectives, data sources, current environment, team member skills/knowledge, reporting needs, and security requirements. Your Sherpa Guides will assist your team members in setting up the proper credentials, licensing, on-premises data gateway (if required), and workspaces.
• WORKSHOPS (GROUP TRAINING)
  • Your Sherpa Guide will schedule 4 2-hour training sessions and 1 4-hour training session to teach team members Power BI basics and best practices. (Group classes attended by multiple companies.)
• COACHING (WEEKLY OFFICE HOURS)
  • 5 weeks of scheduled office hours where your Sherpa guide is available to answer questions and provide one-on-one guidance as your team members begin to apply what they have learned to their project work. Two hours per week over a 5-week period will be allotted for coaching time.
• BEST PRACTICE ASSESSMENT
  • At the end of the Sherpa project, a checklist of best practices will be presented as it applies to your environment. The checklist will include things that were accomplished during the Sherpa project but also recommendations to consider for the future.
