BI4Dynamics Connector for Business Central

Dynamics 365 BC tables are not directly accessible to external tools. BI4Dynamics Connector creates 150 predefined pages (1 page = 1 table) that are exposed as web services. BI4Dynamics Connector for Business Central is a prerequisite and mandatory first step when using (optionally):

A. BI4Dynamics BC Data Warehouse Automation solution or

B. BI4Dynamics Power BI App.

A. BI4Dynamics BC Data Warehouse Automation solution

This option is suitable for Business Intelligence projects with any size of BC database and is fully automated:

1. Azure Container Instance (Docker) connects to web services and exports BC tables as CSV files into the Azure Data Lake

2. SQL Server PolyBase reads and inserts CSV files into SQL database as tables

3. BI4Dynamics Data Warehouse Automation creates a Data Warehouse and Sematic layer (Tabular database)

The BI model can be customized by extending the existing model and adding new data sources

B. BI4Dynamics Power BI Apps

This option is used for Business Intelligence projects with the smaller size of the BC database

1. BI4Dynamics Power BI Apps connects to web services and import tables into Power BI

2. One Power BI App is available in App Source per one business area: Sales, Receivables, Payables, Inventory ...etc.
