RSM Retail POS Self-Checkout allows retailers to convert any POS lane into a self-checkout register. This can be done for one or all registers in a store. Customers no longer have to wait for a cashier to become available. This increases customer service and customer satisfaction. This also helps retailers through tough days where they can’t get a full staff into the store.
A register is placed in self-checkout mode, which disables much of the point-of-sale interface and enables a simplified format where a customer with no training can operate the point of sale system seamlessly.
A customer can escalate and ask for assistance if needed and the associates can take over the customer’s session and resolve issues quickly.
When not needed, the point of sale can be transformed back to a full register with a few keystrokes.
