Social Network Graph

I really like this visual but it needs a few upgrades. It does not filter when you select a node and there are no options for labels unless you hover and use the tooltip, and even then you can only put one thing in the Extra Info box. It would be nice if the colors could be formatted as well, and an option to remove the bouncing.

It's a shame, because, what it is missing it is to filter the other graphics when we click on a photo ...

This is my favourite custom visual. Whenever someone asks me why or how I use PowerBI, I open up our department's Social Network Graph, filter it on a few variables and show them the power of understanding relationships. The graph was easy to create once I understood that I needed a field/column for the manager name and title (which can easily be built using lookup formulae). Downloading then adapting the example helped a lot. I also learned it helps to keep the tile shape square (if the tile is rectangular, sometimes images get cut off).

The system itself is a nice idea and if you have a small company could work well for you, but its restricted in the fact that it needs images to link with to allow connections, good idea and with a bit of development could be very useful

I really like the social network graph and can't wait to use it in some of our enterprise applications. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that you couldn't use the nodes in the graph as clickable filters like you can with other chart types. If this functionality gets added then I would change my rating immediately.
