Great Product with Outstanding Support!
What do you like best about the product?Vacation Tracker delivers everything you need in a leave-management tool: a clean, intuitive interface, seamless integrations with our tech stack, and all the reporting features you’d expect. It’s incredibly easy to set up and keeps our fully remote team’s calendars perfectly in sync!
What really elevates Vacation Tracker, though, is their support team! Any situation I have ever taken to them (calendar change transitions, bulk updates, situational support requests, etc.) the vacation tracker team has been amazing at jumping in and helping us through it! They offer fast, thoughtful responses, creative solutions, and genuine enthusiasm. Their proactive communication and willingness to go the extra mile turned what could have been a routine ticket into a standout customer experience!What do you dislike about the product?I honestly have no dislikes—Vacation Tracker has been a great and dependable solution for our team!What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation Tracker solves the challenge of managing time off across a fully remote, geographically distributed team with varying statutory holidays and vacation policies. It makes it incredibly simple to upload and maintain location-specific holiday calendars, apply different accrual rules, and enforce custom leave policies—all from one central dashboard. In addition to that, the built-in integrations automatically sync approved time-off events to our team’s Google and Outlook calendars, so there’s no manual tracking or confusion about who’s out and when. This streamlined process saves our team hours each month, ensures compliance with local holiday schedules, and gives every employee clear, real-time visibility into their balances and approvals.

Vacation Tracker Makes Time-Off Tracking Easy
What do you like best about the product?Vacation Tracker is very easy to use and integrates well with tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams. I like how straightforward it is to request time off, view balances, and keep track of everyone’s availability without needing spreadsheets or manual tracking.What do you dislike about the product?While Vacation Tracker is generally easy to use, some customization options—like setting unique leave policies for different teams or more flexible reporting—could be improved. It would also be helpful to have more detailed notifications or reminders for managers when approvals are pendingWhat problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation Tracker has eliminated the need for manual leave tracking and back-and-forth emails for time-off requests. It centralizes all leave information, making it easy for both employees and managers to see who’s off and when. This improves transparency, saves time, and helps us avoid scheduling conflicts.

NO PRIVACY!
I was very excited after purchasing and installing this app. It appeared to solve all my issues with tracking employee time off. It is very affordable, the user interface and integration with Microsoft Teams is excellent, I could not find a negative component.... Until I initiated a Demo with some employees and realized that all users (not admins) could see all other users scheduled time away (not a big setback) as well as the reason (Dealbreaker). I am now forced to move on with my search for an alternative application. Very disappointing.

We track people who are late by .25 or .50 which is discussed during their reviews.

We just started using vacation tracker, and so far, everyone has found it very easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?For us, the best thing abut vacation tracker is ease of use. We also like that we can go one place to see who is out of the office.What do you dislike about the product?The one thing we dislike about vacation tracker is that we can only have one type of period. Our vacation leave is based on employment date, and our sick/pto leave is based on a calendar year.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation tracker is helping us keep better track of everyone's time. Before, each manager was in charge of keeping track of their department.

Not intuitive at all
Not able to add a leave (hourly, half day, anything) if I already added a "leave" for working remotely. These two things are not related and shall not restrict each other. For example I can plan to work remotely the whole month as I am working from home, but is something happens and I have to take a day or a half day off I should be able to do that, but currently is not possible. The same applies also for hourly leave. The other thing is related to hourly leave, it does not let me add leave with half an hour granularity. Also if I add a leave I cannot cancel it or modify it.
So far, Vacation Tracker has worked well the set up process has been well received by our employees.
What do you like best about the product?I like the Wallchart the best. It shows me in an instant who is out. No more guessing Also, I find leave requestes to be easy for everyone. Everything is all in one place.What do you dislike about the product?I would like to be able to have different quota leave periods. We use employment date for vacation time and use calendar year for sick time.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?We really didn't have any type of tracking system. Each manager was supposed to keep track of their staff, which really didn't happen, and no one knew how much time they actually had taken. We just started using vacation tracker, and already the managers are able to see who is in, and when asked, they know how much time an individual has left to use.
Simpler is BETTER! Vacation Tracker has been a fantastic addition!
What do you like best about the product?We use Teams for everything. And to have Vacation Tracker work so seamlessly with Teams has made the process easier for staff to request and track their time out of the office. No more excel spreadsheets for each staffperson, no more manual updates for tracking PTO and Sick Days! Staff have told me how much that appreciate the real-time updates.What do you dislike about the product?It's more robust than you might think. Take your time learning the back end. It will save you some headaches down the road.What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?Vacation Tracker has made my life a lot easier by simplifying the tracking process. Staff are pleased that it is integrated in Teams - they don't have to learn a new system or app.
