What I appreciate most about Vevox is its exceptional ability to handle interactive sessions with large audiences. The platform performs brilliantly in classroom settings and lecture halls, regardless of participant numbers. It's incredibly useful for engaging students and maintaining their attention during presentations. The core functionality works seamlessly, and I've found it to be a reliable tool for creating dynamic, interactive learning experiences. Additionally, the integration with PowerPoint is a fantastic feature that allows me to seamlessly incorporate interactive elements directly into my existing presentation slides, making it effortless to switch between content delivery and audience engagement without disrupting the flow of my lectures.

My main frustration with Vevox is the two-slide system - having separate question and answer slides feels unnecessarily complicated. Additionally, the question slide lacks a built-in trigger or prompt feature that would allow presenters to read questions aloud to the audience before requesting responses. This missing feature disrupts the natural flow of presentations and requires manual coordination, which can be awkward during live sessions.

Vevox solves the challenge of passive learning and limited participation in large lecture settings by enabling real-time, anonymous student engagement through web-based polling and feedback directly integrated into PowerPoint presentations. This eliminates the practical barriers of managing hundreds of students, ensures inclusive participation regardless of class size, provides immediate insights into student comprehension, and keeps audiences actively engaged throughout lengthy presentations - all without requiring complex setup or additional downloads, transforming traditional one-way lectures into dynamic, interactive learning experiences that benefit both educators and students.

What I like best about Vevox is how it empowers every student to have a voice. It creates a safe, anonymous space where learners feel comfortable engaging – whether that’s through polls, quizzes, or the Q&A function. It’s especially useful for encouraging contributions from quieter students who might not usually speak up in a traditional classroom setting. I also really value how easy it is to use, both for me and for the students. It integrates smoothly into my sessions and allows me to adapt my teaching in real time based on their responses. It’s a brilliant tool for making learning more interactive, inclusive, and responsive.

One area where Vevox could improve is in offering more detailed post-session analytics. While the current data summaries are helpful, having deeper insights into individual and group performance over time—especially for quiz-style activities—would make it even more useful for tracking progress and identifying patterns in student understanding. Additionally, greater integration with platforms like Microsoft Teams or learning management systems (e.g. Moodle, Canvas) would streamline the workflow even further, making it easier to embed Vevox activities directly into teaching materials or asynchronous learning content.

Vevox is solving several key problems in the modern classroom, particularly around student engagement, inclusivity, and real-time feedback. One major challenge in teaching is getting all students to participate—especially in larger groups or when dealing with more introverted learners. Vevox’s anonymous response system breaks down those barriers, encouraging honest input from everyone, not just the most confident voices in the room. This leads to more representative feedback and richer class discussions. It’s also addressing the issue of real-time understanding. With live polls and quizzes, I can instantly assess whether students are grasping the content and adapt my teaching on the spot. This has helped reduce knowledge gaps and made my sessions more responsive and effective. From a practical perspective, Vevox makes my sessions more dynamic and enjoyable—both for me and for my students. It’s a simple tool that solves complex problems around participation and feedback, helping me create a more inclusive, interactive learning environment.

The responses from my students are anonymous to enable shy and introvert students to give their answers without feeling intimidated by others. The ease of use and implementation make my writing lessons interesting and fascinating. Hence, I use Vevox quite frequently whenever I teach my students in the writing courses.

So far, I do not have anything that I dislike yet.

Vevox makes the lessons more interactive than the usual conventional teaching methods in my classes. The ease of navigating to the features makes it fun to be explored and explored. This does not make my writing lessons dull and boring as more responses could be obtained from my students.

Removal of support for the legacy PPT plugin, it was a really useful tool that we still find helpful today.

Gathering insight from your audience in a cost efficient and fast way. Being able to integrate the product into other solutions and be able to ensure a familiar platform for all attendees across the board.

Vevox has a great selection of audience interaction features, it's easy to use, and very reliable. The app is regularly updated to add new features. We work with lots of different clients that have varied requirements. Most of the time Vevox can be used no matter who the client is because of the broad range of functionality.

In the past there were some features missing from Vevox that would mean we need to use different apps depending on the requirements. However most of these have been addressed with updates. We would like some more flexibility in the customisation options so that we can integrate the audience display more seamlessly into our clients' slide content

Our clients need an audience interaction solution and Vevox allows us to offer them a great solution that usual meets all their requirements

Very little! Definitely some scope to enhance/guide question generation for surveys, and maybe add some more data analysis function.

Allows people who dont like speaking up to ask questions in meetings - making sure we dont get the same viewpoints all the time. Allows quick generation of opinion type data on paths forward, problem solving, gaps etc in a way that is not biased by group think/discussion

Using Vevox provides a single place for collaboration in large meetings like town halls and allows for easy moderation. It nicely integrates with microsoft products. The training sessions provided by our account reps are super helpful.

As an MS Teams organization, Vevox is an additional license and not available to all of our teams.
