Employee Directory Lite lets you set up, manage, search, and find any employee based on their skills, location, function, and more. You can also use quick filters to narrow down your search results and get the information you need.

Functional Features

  • You can use Enterprise Search to look for people by keywords or phrases, such as name, title, location, function, skill, etc.
  • You can choose from three types of views to display the search results: Card, Table or Title. Each view shows different information and layout options.
  • You can filter the search results by various criteria, such as name, title, location, function, skill, etc. to narrow down your search.
  • You can access quick links to Outlook Email or Microsoft Teams from the search results to contact your colleagues directly.
  • Employee Directory automatically updates the organization information from Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online. You don't need to manually update or sync the data.
  • You can add, show or hide personal information in your profile, such as birthdays or anniversaries. You can also control who can see your personal information.

Pre-requisites & Quicksteps

To install the employee directory add-in built on SharePoint, you need to:

  • Have a SharePoint Online site collection with the Publishing feature enabled
  • Have site collection administrator permissions
  • Download the add-in package from the Microsoft 365 AppSource
  • Upload the add-in package to your site collection's app catalog
  • Add the add-in to your site from the Site Contents page

Note :

The solution has to be added manually to the site as it will not deploy to the complete tenant.
